French Avenue FRANCIQUE 63.55 - this woody, warm spicy and slightly musky fragrance is charming to say the least. Sweet at first, but only slightly, the sweetness comes from the black tea, no tea leaf scent. There are also figs here, which give a hint of fruity mood, but by no means equal to the fruity aroma. Both are softened by spicy cardamom, which makes the opening of this perfume so interesting and complex. As it develops, there's an instant softness to the iris, but not powdery, and while the vetiver is present in the heart, it's quite fleeting. A creamy sandalwood scent and a sweet vanilla-like aroma (with a spicier nuttiness than sugary vanilla) from tonka beans, leaving a rich, warm and creamy long-lasting impression and finish.
